To bookmatch marble we slice through the marble slab. When the marble is opened out there is a mirror image like the wings of a butterfly. In the past you could only see the pattern after the marble was cut. The pattern was set in stone, so to speak. With our technology, the client can choose from a range of different patterns in the stone that we are able to create. After the client has been consulted and has chosen the pattern they like, it is projected back onto the slab using a laser projector and is plotted into our computer system for cutting. We deliver the identical bookmatched pattern seen on the client’s computer screen, in natural stone. |
